Quarter 3, Week 1 – Making Personal Opinion

In quarter 3, we began our first week. Our first quarter is about making a personal opinion.  Due to their teachers' schedules, our section and grade 9-Duhat united at that time. While we were at the meeting, we all had a terrific time.

We also had our first week of spelling, and Richard Duane Warren was our Anglo-American literature icon. We have a quiz for the first week and a weekly blog. Implicit and explicit were concepts I learned about. Our issue was neither challenging nor difficult for me. Making Personal Opinions is the focus of our discussion.

PETA:
Directions: State your opinion on the following topics. Use expressions/phrases that suggest an opinion and underline them. Write your answers on the blank.

Example: Topic: face to face classes

Opinion: In my point of view, face to face classes is not yet advisable, especially now

that we are facing another strain of COVID-19.

1. posting on Facebook

Opinion: Posting on Facebook is not harmful in my opinion, but if you publish something that can have a negative impact on another person and it is done on purpose, it is. You've stepped over the line.

2. cyberbullying

Opinion: From my point of view, Cyberbullying is a negative trait. It isn't humorous. Cyberbullying must be stopped since it can have a negative impact on others and lead to sadness or suicide ideation.

3. having pineapple on a pizza

Opinion: I would say that having pineapple in a pizza is not a horrible idea. It is inexcusable that many people don’t like it since it’s my favorite type of pizza.

4. wearing school uniform during online/modular distance learning

Opinion: Clothing can influence one's mindset, and studying at home is generally less focused than at school. I believe that schools that require students to wear uniforms while online learning is striving to preserve student focus and promote a sense of unity in the learning process, so I don't see anything wrong with that. However, I believe that wearing uniforms during modular is a bad idea.

5. buying a new cellphone every year

Opinion: Buying a cell phone every year, In my opinion, is not a bad idea because it is your money and you worked hard for it. It's your money, and you make the rules. However, always remember that needs take priority over desires.

In my perspective, a face-to-face session is necessary right now because so many people have been vaccinated, but it seems that other parents disagree owing to the COVID. Face-to-face class, in my opinion, is such a brilliant plan for students and teachers who are having difficulty with this type of distance learning. However, I have a feeling that the cases will increase, but it will not be as severe because, according to experts, getting vaccinated against COVID can reduce your risk of getting and spreading the virus that causes COVID. When the face-to-face class begins, I have no doubt that the students will be eager to learn and more focused on their studies, as well as to meet their friends again.
